Toon Boom Storyboard Pro 3D Workshop and Contest at MIGS 2011
The Toon Boom Team had a very successful workshop and contest at the MIGS2011 – Montreal International Game Summit – see pics
The program included a Storyboard Pro 3D workshop and contest in which workshop participants were asked to create a 30 to 60-second storyboard for a video game cut scene. The storyboard had to be powerful enough to get the viewers adrenaline pumping. None of the participants had ever used Toon Boom Storyboard Pro 3D before the workshop (they also had the chance to work with our new flying camera an exciting new feature in the beta version of Storyboard Pro 3D). The total duration of the workshop and contest was around 8 hours, so it was quite the achievement to learn a product and create some finished work!
As you can imagine it takes a lot of brainwork and skill to come up with a storyboard like that! All of our competitors did an excellent job and you can see their work here.
Winner: Patrice Blais – Patrice won Toon Boom Storyboard Pro 3D.
Here is a screenshot of one of Patrice’s Storyboard Pro 3D panels showing some action and its related dialogue:

Runners-up: Pascale Lepage-Andre and Mario Mallard – both Pascale and Mario received a six-month license of Toon Boom Storyboard Pro 3D
Participants: Alexander, Andrew and Godfrey
