Animation at the Oscars – Congratulations from Toon Boom

It’s the day after the 84th Academy Awards, the party-ers have gone home and the red carpet is being rolled up, ready for next year. But for the winners of those coveted Oscars and the holders of those prestigious nominations the main event is just beginning.

If the history of past winners and nominees is anything to go by, this uniquely auspicious honour opens doors and leads to more opportunities that any other. No matter if you are a winner or nominee you are the creme de la creme, the elite in your field, in this event there are no losers.

With that in mind, Toon Boom Animation congratulates all of the Academy Award Winners and Nominees for creating and being, the very best.

Congratulations goes out to the winner of the Animated Feature Film; Rango by Gore Verbinski and to the winner of the Animated Short Film; The Fantastic Flying Books of Mr. Morris Lessmore by William Joyce and Brandon Oldenburg.

Toon Boom is honoured to be associated with the two Oscar nominated animated films which used Toon Boom Harmony - the animated feature film Chico and Rita, directed by Fernando Trueba and star designer  Javier Mariscal, and the animated short Dimanche/Sunday, written, directed and animated by Patrick Doyon. We are certain that audiences around the world will continue to see and recognize the animation of these dedicated and talented individuals.
